The first edition of JustLX, contemporary art fair in Lisbon, focused on the most current artistic manifestations linked to the great themes of present thought. JustLX will be held from May 17 to 20 and born with the technological and environmental commitment as a starting point in the current creation. The chosen space, the Museu da Carris, will host a general program of galleries, as well as several curated sections and an important Luso-Spanish gastronomic bet. The month of May thus makes Lisbon the nerve center of European contemporary art. The dynamic and cosmopolitan character of the city, together with its wide cultural and gastronomic offer, make up the ideal environment for the first edition of JustLX. Precisely with the basis of an interest in sustainability, the environment and technology, the museum that houses the trams, an iconic image of the city of Lisbon, will be the framework where art dialogues directly with the possibilities of creation from the point of view of clean environments, Smart cities and the concern for a sustainable future. Another of JustLX’s strengths is the commitment to artistic initiatives in the African continent, with a section coordinated by the artist Gloria Oyarzábal and that will put on the table the most interesting proposals of artists and galleries in Africa. JustLX is presented as a fair with a very strong representation of Portuguese, Spanish and international galleries, in a wide space, in one of the city’s fashionable neighborhoods, Alcántara, and with a commitment to Spanish Portuguese cuisine with the fusion of cuisine and creation outside the Museu da Carris.
