Sun-Moon: the logic of perception explores the idea of color fields, as well as our own ability to experience this physical but also mental phenomenon.
By means of pigment powder directly on paper and wall, Woods explores the optical and rhythmic properties of the different colors, while relating structures and figures to the representation of the celestial vault and the sun.
Using as a metaphor for what in astrophysics is known as singularity, the project gives continuity to the enigmatic representation of the artist, where figuration and abstraction coexist in a disturbing harmony.
From the darkest gray to the most intense fluorescent, the color range used testifies to the infinite possibilities of the landscape, also pointing out the distances between subjective perception and the coldness of the data.
