Series of spaces
Curator: Cristina Ramos
Guillermina Caicoya art projects presents a project by Tamara Arroyo curated in collaboration with Cristina Ramos. Arroyo’s practice revolves around the importance of architecture and the body as a place of perception of our surroundings. In this way, his works are inspired by architectural objects and elements from the most immediate context of the artist.
Series of spaces presents a group of sculptures in painted iron, influenced by elements that order, protect or separate the space and its decorative components.
These works are juxtaposed together with Everyday Geometries (2015), a series of drawings on graph paper made during a residence in Mallorca, the result of the artist’s research on the qualities of the line and color.
Tamara Arroyo (Madrid, 1972) has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. Individual exhibitions include Ut-Pitura, 6 + 1 Gallery (Madrid, 2017); Daily Geometries, Addaya Center d’Art Contemporani (Mallorca, 2017); Roman Houses, Ethall Gallery (Barcelona, 2014). His works are included in collections such as Fundació Guillem Cifre, Caja de Madrid, and Academia de España in Rome.
