Visual has been consuming its past for centuries to invent its future. A cross-reference game that has accelerated in recent decades, resulting in a body of overlapping images and objects, describing secret and tentacular alliances. The works of Carla Grunauer and Mario Espliego, from a way of erasing the boundaries between painting and sculpture, work on the actuality of notions such as influence or tradition, in the context of a culture eager for information, sometimes even distressed , which has made archeology a privileged way of investigating the relationship between memory and history.
