In 2020 everything changes in the world and that affects the spirit and the work of Plágaro. At a time when freedom is severely limited, he needs to free the work from systematic repetition, which strains the creative process. This was not the time to continue using your creative freedom to limit your own freedom. After so many years playing with repetition, Plágaro considers for the first time to make a work antagonistic to the Equal Paintings; Unequal Squares. Obviously the ironic spirit permeates this proposal as it did in the previous one. The work that emerges has the same pictorial style but it flows more freely and more unevenly as it does not have to repeat each gesture from one painting to another.
